A balmy, hazy day on the fells today, thawing what's left of the snow. Striding Edge is now completely free of snow.

The mist cleared revealing the east face of Helvellyn together with the extent of the thaw over the past five days.

After ascending in cloud, it cleared on Scafell Pike's summit revealing Great Gable, Derwentwater and Styhead Tarn.
