Introducing Mountain Run

Mountain Run is a company based in the Glenridding Valley at the foot of the Helvellyn Massif and this gives them the unique opportunity to know this area like its their back garden. 

Run by local race creator and mountain running guide, Charles Sproson. Being based here means these guys are extremely passionate about the mountains, especially in the Lake District. 

They hold regular courses to cover all your needs in the fells, including Navigation Skills, Mountain Running Skills, Winter Running Skills, Natural Run ning Skills (think barefoot and posture), Sky Running skills and more. If its about running in the mountains these guys know it all. All the courses are designed by Charles and are simple to understand, of course his enthusiasm for this sport shines through, what ever the weather. 

All guides and tutors are extremely experienced in the mountains and have competed in many races and personal challenges such as the iconic Bob Graham Round, the Dragons Back Race, the Lakeland 50/100 Ultra and much much more. What these guides haven't done, isn't worth knowing about.

You will often find Charlie running, climbing or skiing around the Helvellyn Massif and giving regular winter conditions reports for these sports. 

Charlie is also the creator of the epic Lakes Sky Ultra race and has planned many mountain marathons and trail races for local companies such as the Keswick Mountain Festival and Ourea Events, this experience gives him an extra understanding of of what skills are needed to move fast and light through mountainous terrain. 

At the end of the day, they love the mountains and want to help you understand this powerful emotion as well.
